El Paso City Representative Peter Svarzbein hopes better tax incentives for the film industry will create more jobs and keep El Paso's talent from leaving home. New Mexico offers up to 30 percent for films and television. Last year, Texas cut its film incentive program by two-thirds. El Paso filmmaker and producer Carlos Corral would like to see more film projects brought to the Sun City.

MindWarp's very own Carlos Corral provides on-location sound services for the short film “Odessa”. A crew for the short film was at the border fence west of Santa Teresa, N.M. Tuesday. The film, which will be about ten minutes long, is based on a post apocalyptic storyline in which Texas becomes its own country again in the future. The film was in its second day of a four-day shooting schedule.

Rick Perry’s Criminal Justice Department, MindWarp was given the honorable privilege of providing creative media to promote healthy relationships in the El Paso community and surrounding rural areas. In collaboration with the El Paso County Attorney’s Office and the 34th Judicial District Attorney’s Office , we successfully provided culturally sensitive and accessible marketing materials about domestic abuse and dating violence.
